City View Park Rules

General Park Rules

· Park hours 7:30AM to sunset, unless there are lighted amenities or as otherwise noted/posted.

· Alcoholic beverages are not allowed.

· All areas are expected to be cleaned up after use. All litter, cigarette butts, etc… must be picked up. Park

officials may charge offenders with a clean-up fee/fine.

· All pets must be on a leash and under control at all times. Off-leash areas (Dog Parks) are available at Red

Wing District Park and Woodstock Community Park. Please “Scoop the Poop”… It’s the Law!

· The following activities are not allowed:

Washing or maintenance of private vehicles

Camping

Flying motor powered aircraft, rockets, or gliders

· Observe all posted traffic, parking, and speed signs. The speed limit is 15 mph. Vehicles parked outside of

designated areas (yellow zones, staff parking, etc…) will be towed.

· Virginia Beach Parks and Recreation not responsible for valuables left in parked vehicles or left in park.

· Fires are allowed in grills only. Backyard propane grills must be placed at least ten (10) feet away from all park

structures.

· Turkey fryers and deep fat fryers are not allowed in the parks unless a permit has been issued by the Leisure

Events Office for commercial type fryers.

· Sporting activities are allowed in designated playing areas only. Batting practice not permitted on the

multipurpose field.

· Staples, nails and tacks are not allowed to be used to hang items from picnic shelters.

· Private vehicles are not permitted on playing fields, picnic areas, or any other grassy areas of the parks.

Vehicles not permitted beyond the parking lot.

· No amplified sound is allowed unless a permit has been issued by the Leisure Events Office.

· Stages, food/vendor sales, tents or other amusements are not allowed unless a permit has been issued by the

Leisure Events Office.
